4 Features of Our Featured Ambleside Property

If you have seen our social media posts or have visited our website, you will have no doubt seen the delightful Ambleside property for sale with Lakes Estates. This incredible Lake District property has so many enviable features from its location so it’s solid history, but I thought I would discuss four of my personal favourite features of Howe End.  

  1. Let’s start with the 1.6 acres of gardens and woodland that belong to the property. Green-fingered or not, I think it would be hard to not be slightly envious of those with such an incredible garden space with so much potential. Whoever the newest owners may be, have the opportunity to truly make the gardens anything they desire from incorporating water features, veggie patches or even a designated play area to keep the children/grandchildren entertained!                               
  2. The striking sitting room situated to the right of the entrance hall is without a doubt one of my favourite rooms in the entire property. There is something very comforting and familiar about the feel of this spacious reception room, with its dual aspect Georgian style sash patio doors and wonderful fell views. The stunning chandelier hanging from the ornate ceiling is also a feature that would be hard not to fall in love with.
  3. THE LOCATION. Howe End, Far Sawrey is situated a little over a mile from the Western shores of Windermere. Far Sawrey is a beautifully picturesque village, surrounded by breath-taking scenery and views to the Lakeland Fells. The property is just 5 minutes from the ferry crossing, connecting you to the Eastern shore just a mile South of Bowness and Hawkshead to the West which has some of the most excellent pubs, shops and schools. What a dream right?!
  4. Howe End is accompanied by Howe End Cottage which has incredible potential as a holiday cottage or space for a dependent family member. It offers OVER 1500 sq. ft of living space and could be reconfigured to suit any buyer with any needs. This part of the property is in need of complete renovation but to me, that’s even more exciting.
